Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je implementace měkkých dovedností do výuky angličtiny. Je rozdělena do dvou částí. V teoretické části jsou definovány měkké dovednosti, jejich důležitost, týmová spolupráce jako vybraná měkká dovednost a přehled již publikovaných výzkumů v tématu. V empirické části je představena výzkumná metodologie, analýza potřeb následovaná intervencí, která byla navržena na základě získaných dat, následné sebehodnocení studentů v oblasti týmové spolupráce praktikované během intervencí, interpretaci shromážděných dat a závěrečné shrnutí. Cílem práce je zvýšit povědomí o důležitosti výuky měkkých dovedností, navrhnout aktivity a použít je ve vybrané třídě ke zlepšení dovedností týmové spolupráce studentů. Může být také inspirací pro učitele k ukotvení výuky měkkých dovedností do svých anglických osnov, čímž bude splněn legitimní požadavek národního učebního plánu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of soft skills into English lessons. It is divided into two parts. The theoretical part presents the introduction, the definition of soft skills, their importance, and teamwork, the soft skill selected as the focus of my diploma thesis. A chapter presenting recent research follows. The empirical part presents the research methodology, the needs analysis followed by intervention, which I designed based on the data, student self-evaluation of the teamwork soft skills that were practised during the interventions, an interpretation of the data collected and finally a conclusion. The aim of the thesis is to raise awareness of the importance of teaching soft skills amongst the learners, design activities, and use them in the selected class to improve the teamwork skills of the students. It can also be an inspiration for other teachers to implement soft skills into their English language syllabi, which is a legitimate requirement of the national curriculum.
