REPRODUCTION OF THE WILD BOAR (SUS SCROFA) IN THE CONTEXT OF THE VERTICAL ZONATION OF THE FOREST ENVIRONMENT IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaobírá problematikou reprodukce prasete divokého (Sus scrofa), především se zaměřuje na schopnost reprodukce samic na základě vertikální zonace v rámci celé České republiky. Data byla sesbírána během 7 let na společných lovech vždy od druhé poloviny října do konce ledna. Celkem bylo vyhodnoceno 370 vzorků pohlavní soustavy samic z 31 oblastí v rámci České republiky. Po ulovení byla zjištěna hmotnost samice, věk i množství tuku v oblasti 12. žebra dle metody SEUROP. Po laboratorních analýzách následovalo vyhodnocení v prostředí Microsoft excel. Především se zkoumal vliv prostředí na aktivitu vaječníků a jejich následné fáze, graviditu, početnost vrhu a též i poměr pohlaví mláďat ve vrhu. Dle zjištěných výsledků může již samice v 8. měsíci stáří porodit i 6 mláďat. Poměr pohlaví vyšel výrazně ve prospěch samic. Nebyl zjištěn výrazný vliv prostředí, tedy jednotlivých lesních vegetačních stupňů, na početnost vrhů nebo poměru pohlaví.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of reproduction of the wild boar (Sus scrofa), it especially focuses on the ability to reproduce females based on the vertical zoning throughout the Czech Republic. The data were collected during 7 years on joint hunts, always from the second half of October to the end of January. A total 370 female reproductive system samples from 31 areas within the Czech Republic were evaluated. After the capture, the weight of the female, age and amount of fat in the area of the 12th rib were determined according to the SEUROP method. Laboratory analyses were followed by ealuation in the Microsoft Excel environment. Above all, the influence of the environment on the aktivity of the ovaries and their subsequent phases, pregnancy, litter number and also the sex ratio of the young in the litter was examined. According to the results, the female can give birth to 6 cubs at the age of 8 months. The sex ratio turned out significantly in favour of females. No significant influence of the environment, thus individual forst vegetation stages, on the number of litters or sex ratio was found.
