The impact of location on the growth of cultures established by planting bare-root and potted seedlings

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo porovnat a zhodnotit odrůstání krytokořenného a prostokořenného sadebního materiálu na stanovištích SLT 5K, 2K, 2S a 1K, kde byly založeny zkusné plochy. Na těchto plochách bylo v roce 2014 vysázeno 200 kusů krytokořenných a 200 kusů prostokořenných sazenic nebo semenáčků smrku ztepilého, buku lesního a douglasky tisolisté. Pouze na stanovišti SLT 1K byla vysázena a zhodnocena borovice lesní. Na konci vegetačního období roku 2017 bylo na všech plochách a u všech vysázených rostlin změřeno a vyhodnoceno 10 parametrů a 5 znaků. Následně bylo dle jednotlivých stanovišť a variant provedeno statistické vyhodnocení. Z výsledků je patrné, že nejvyšší mortalita byla na plochách nacházejících se na SLT 1K a lze říci, že na těchto plochách jednoznačně odrůstal lépe krytokořenný sadební materiál borovice lesní. Na stanovišti 5K lépe odrůstal krytokořenný sadební materiál u buku lesního. U stanoviště 2K odrůstal lépe krytokořenný sadební materiál u smrku ztepilého. Na stanovišti 2S nebylo dle celkového zhodnocení zjištěno lepší odrůstání krytokořenného sadebního materiálu u žádné ze zkoumaných dřevin a u buku lesního a douglasky tisolisté nebyly zjištěny rozdíly v odrůstání mezi měřenými variantami.

Abstract:

The purpose of this diploma thesis was to compare and evaluate the growth of potted and bare-root seedlings planted in locations SLT 5K, 2K, 2S and 1K, where trial areas were established. In 2014 200 potted and 200 bare-root seedlings of European spruce, European beech and Douglas fir were planted in these areas and only Scots pine was planted and evaluated in location SLT 1K. 10 parameters and 5 traits were measured and evaluated in all the areas and on all the planted plants at the end of the growing period of 2017. A statistical evaluation was subsequently performed according to individual location and seedling version. The results clearly indicate that the highest mortality was in areas located at SLT 1K and we can say that potted Scots pine grew best in this area. Potted European beech grew best in location 5K. Potted European spruce grew best in location 2K. The potted versions of the planted seedlings were not found to have grown better at location 2S according to the overall evaluation and no difference was found in the European beech or the Douglas fir in growth between the measured alternatives.
