Successfulness of Inflation Targeting Regime

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Successfulness of Inflation Targeting Regime” is to evaluate the successfulness of inflation targeting in selected countries. For this purpose we use an analysis of inflation targeting based on inflation reports and, subsequently, simple statistics to evaluate it. In the theoretical part, the reader acquants him- or herself with the topic of inflation targeting. Then follows a description of the development of inflation targeting for individual countries. In conclusion these economies are compared in terms of their successfulness in reaching their target.

Abstract:

Predmetom bakalárskej práce „Úspešnosť režimu inflačného cielenia“ je vyhodnotiť úspešnosť inflačného cielenia u vybraných krajín. K tomuto účelu je použitý rozbor inflačného cielenia na základe inflačných správ a následné využitie jednoduchých štatistík na jeho hodnotenie. V teoretickej časti sa čitateľ oboznámi s problematikou inflačného cielenia. Ďalej nasleduje popis priebehu inflačného cielenia pre jednotlivé krajiny. Na záver sú tieto ekonomiky navzájom porovnané z hľadiska ich úspešnosti triafania sa do cieľa.
