Řád Asparagales je unikátním systémem pro studium evoluce telomer díky své telomerové heterogenitě. Proteinová podjednotka telomerázy (TERT) je schopna syntézy lidského typu telomerových repetic v případě čeledí Hyacinthaceae a Agavaceae. Abstract:
The plant order Asparagales provides a unique opportunity for studies of telomere evolution due to rare telomere heterogenity. Protein subunit of telomerases (TERT) from the family Hyacinthaceae or Agavaceae can synthesize human type telomeric repeats.
