COVID19 and its consequences for primary "schooling" in Košice region

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the situation in primary educa-tion in the Košice region during the pandemic period. A mixed research method is used to clarify the research aim. The data comes from ques-tionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The results of the analysis in the context of modernity are summarized in the conclusion. The most important finding, in my judgment, is that the pandemic has not been a stimulus for education to go digital, change the curriculum and reflect on the negative impact of family background on academic achievement.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je preskúmať situáciu v primárnom vzdelávaní v Košickom kraji počas obdobia pandémie. K objasneniu výskumného zámeru je použitá metóda zmiešaného výskumu. Dáta pochádzajú z dotazníkov a pološtrukturovaných rozhovorov. Výsledky analýzy v kontexte modernity sú zhrnuté v závere. Najdôležitejším zistením podľa môjho úsudku je, že pandémia nebola pre školstvo impulzom k digitalizácií, zmene kurikula a reflexie negatívneho vplyvu rodinného zázemia na študijné výsledky.
