Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vzájemný vztah států Íránu a Venezuely mezi lety 2006 ‒ 2013. Soustřeďuje se na období prezidentského tandemu Ahmadínežád ‒ Chávez. Hlavní otázkou práce je, zda ve výše zmíněných letech docházelo k intenzivnější íránsko-venezuelské spolupráci. Ústřední část textu sestává z analýzy vzájemných interakcí a aktivit Íránské republiky a Venezuely v těchto letech. Zkoumanou oblastí jsou diplomatické styky, ekonomická spolupráce, kooperace na poli energetiky a spolupráce ve vojensko-bezpečnostní sféře. Dále práce studuje vliv jednání administrativy bývalého amerického prezidenta G. W. Bushe na íránsko-venezuelský vztah. V neposlední řadě se zabývá percepcí tohoto vztahu ze strany nynějších amerických vládních představitelů a předních světových akademiků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between the state of Iran and the Republic of Venezuela between the years 2006 ‒ 2013. It focuses on the period of the presidential tandem Ahmadinejad ‒ Chávez. The main question of the thesis is whether there exists intense Iran Venezuela cooperation during the above mentioned period. The central part of the thesis consists of the analysis of interactions and activities of the Iranian Republic and the Republic of Venezuela in those years. Examined areas are diplomatic relations, economic cooperation, cooperation in the field of energy and in the military and security sphere. Further, the thesis studies impact of the policy of the administration of former U.S. President George W. Bush on the Iran Venezuela relationship. Finally, it deals with the perception of the relationship from the current U.S. Government officials, and leading academics worldwide.
