Motivation of the employees on the public administration

Abstract:

Předmětem mé diplomové práce s názvem „Motivace pracovníků ve veřejné správě“ je objasnění teoretických aspektů motivace vedoucích pracovníků ve veřejné správě a jejich využívání ve vztahu vůči jejich podřízeným. Vymezila jsem pojmy z veřejné správy vztahující se k dané problematice. Dále jsem se zaměřila na specifikaci managementu ve veřejné správě s orientací na charakteristiku rozdílů v managementu ve veřejném a soukromém sektoru, na roli manažera ve veřejné správě a vzdělávání jejich pracovníků. Dospěla jsem tak k samotné podstatě motivace, přičemž jsem se zaměřila na důležité pojmy z oblasti motivace, motivační typy, teorie a zdroje motivace, motivační zásady a pravidla, stimulaci a demotivaci. Pro identifikaci aplikace motivačních principů v každodenní činnosti úřadů veřejné správy jsem si zvolila dva městské úřady, přičemž z každého jsem si vybrala dva odbory a následně požádala pracovníky (včetně vedoucích pracovníků) o odpovědi na položené otázky.

Abstract:

The subject of my diploma thesis named „The Motivation of the Employees in the Public Administration“ is to clarify theoretical aspects of executive employees in public administration motivation and its utilization in the relationship to their subordinates. I defined the principal terms from public administration that related to the topic. Next I focused on management specification in the public and the private sector, on the roles of managers in the public administration and on the education of their employees. Using this way I came to the motivation, where I focused on important terms from this subject, types of motivation, theory and sources of motivation, principles and rules of motivation, stimulation and demotivation. To determine the application of motivational principles in public administration daily activities I have chosen two municipalities and from them I have chosen two departments were I asked employees (including executive employees) for their answers to my questions.
