Evaluation of infrastructure readiness for the transition to electromobility in individual automotive transport in the conditions of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením aktuálního stavu a možností rozvoje infrastruktury pro elektromobilitu v České republice, s ohledem na rostoucí počet elektrických vozidel na silnicích. Cílem práce je analyzovat současné nedostatky nabíjení elektrických vozidel, predikovat budoucí potřeby infrastruktury a definovat možnosti opatření pro její optimalizaci. Studie se opírá o rozbor dostupných statistických dat, aktuálních trendů v oblasti elektromobility a srovnání v evropském měřítku. V začátku teoretické části se autor zabývá vysvětlením konceptu elektromobility, přehledem typů elektrických vozidel a jejich baterií, dále jsou popsány existující a potenciální technologie nabíjení. Následuje rešeršní analýza nabíjecí a energetické infrastruktury v ČR, včetně identifikace hlavních problémů, jako je nedostatečná kapacita nabíjecích stanic a vliv rostoucího počtu elektromobilů na energetický systém. Na základě zjištěných informací práce předkládá návrhy na zlepšení situace, které zahrnují rozvoj veřejné nabíjecí infrastruktury, podporu instalace domácích nabíjecích stanic a adaptaci energetického systému na zvýšenou spotřebu elektrické energie. Závěr práce říká, že Česká republika stojí před významnými výzvami v přechodu na elektromobilitu, ale s adekvátními investicemi a strategií lze tyto výzvy úspěšně překonat a podpořit tak udržitelnou dopravu.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis addresses the evaluation of the current state and development possibilities of the infrastructure for electromobility in the Czech Republic, regarding the increasing number of electric vehicles on the roads. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current shortcomings in the charging of electric vehicles, predict future infrastructure needs, and define options for measures to optimize it. The study relies on the analysis of available statistical data, current trends in the field of electromobility, and comparison on a European scale. In the beginning of the theoretical part, the author deals with explaining the concept of electromobility, an overview of types of electric vehicles and their batteries, and further describes existing and potential charging technologies. This is followed by a research analysis of the charging and energy infrastructure in the Czech Republic, including the identification of major issues, such as the insufficient capacity of charging stations and the impact of the increasing number of electric vehicles on the energy system. Based on the information found, the thesis presents proposals for improving the situation, which include the development of public charging infrastructure, support for the installation of home charging stations, and the adaptation of the energy system to increased electric energy consumption. The conclusion of the thesis states that the Czech Republic faces significant challenges in the transition to electromobility, but with adequate investments and strategy, these challenges can be successfully overcome to support sustainable transportation.
