Coherence of socio-economic linkages across regional borders on the example of regions Pardubice and Olomouc

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá provázaností socioekonomických vazeb přes hranice krajů Pardubického a Olomouckého. Pozornost je přitom zaměřena především na veřejnou dopravu a dojížďku do zaměstnání a škol. Cílem práce je určit, zda dochází k interakcím mezi uvedenými kraji a případně definovat jejich intenzitu a specifické souvislosti v území. Na základě analýzy dostupných dat byla vytvořena grafická podoba mezikrajské propojenosti z hlediska počtu spojů veřejné dopravy a dojížďkových proudů obyvatel. Následně byl proveden kvalitativní výzkum přímo v terénu, který proběhl formou strukturovaných rozhovorů s představiteli obcí poblíž krajské hranice, vybraných obcí s rozšířenou působností, zástupci krajské samosprávy a Koordinátorem integrovaného dopravního systému Olomouckého kraje. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit doplňující informace, které vedly k vytvoření uceleného pohledu na studovanou problematiku.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the interconnection of socio-economic links across the boundaries of the regions Pardubice and Olomouc. Its focus lies primarily on public transport and commuting to work and to school. The aim of the thesis is to determine whether there are interactions between these regions and, eventually, to define their intensity and their specific contexts in the territory. Based on an analysis of available data, a graphic representation of interconnection was created in terms of number of public transport links and commuting flows of the population. Subsequently, a qualitative research was carried out directly in the field, in the form of structured interviews with representatives of municipalities near the regional border, selected municipalities with extended powers, representatives of the regional administration and the Coordinator of the Integrated Transport System of the Olomouc Region. The aim of this research was the discovery of complementary information leading to the formation of a comprehensive view of the studied subject.
