Design of agglomerated material from sugar beet cuttings waste

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem a skladbou aglomerovaného materiálu z odpadních řízků cukrové řepy. Pro výrobu aglomerovaného materiálu byly využity řepné řízky z cukrovaru TTD Tereos České Meziříčí. V rámci návrhu a skladby materiálu, byla provedena sítová analýza pro zjištění zastoupení velikosti částic. Aglomerované desky byly navrhnuty a vyrobeny ze směsi s rozdílným zastoupením vstupních surovin. Aglomerované desky byly vyrobeny v poměru (cukrové řízky:dřevěné třísky),1- (100 %: 0 %), 2-(50 %: 50 %), 3- (0 %: 100 %), 4– (100 %: 0 %) (zvýšená hustota),5- (25 %: 75 %) a 6- (75 %: 25 %). Z jednotlivých poměrových směsí byly vyrobeny tři třískové desky o rozměrech 600x600mm a tloušťce 12 mm, za použití pMDI lepidla a parafínové emulze. Z každé vylisované desky byly vyrobeny vzorky pro testování jejích fyzikálních a mechanických vlastností, ve dvou rozměrech: ± 50 x 50 mm o počtu 25 ks a 5 ks o rozměru ± 50 x 290 mm. Analýza vstupních surovin a testování fyzikálních a mechanických vlastností probíhalo ve výzkumném centru Josefa Ressela v Brně-Útěchov. Pod analýzu vstupních surovin spadá sítová analýza, stanovení vlhkosti vstupních surovin. Hlavními fyzikálními vlastnostmi, které byly měřeny je hustota, bobtnání po ponoření ve vodě podobu 24 h, 48 h a 168 h, hustotní profil třískových desek a vlhkost vzorků. Mezi mechanické vlastnosti, které byly testované jsou rozlupčivost (pevnost v tahu kolmo k rovině desky), modul pružnosti a mez pevnosti v ohybu. Výsledky fyzikálních a mechanických vlastností jsou detailně popsány a uvedeny v kapitole č. 5.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the design and composition of agglomerated material from sugar beet waste cuttings. Beet pulp from the TTD Tereos České Meziříčí sugar mill was used for the production of the agglomerated material. As part of the design and composition of the material, sieve analysis was performed to determine the particle size distribution. The agglomerated slabs were designed and manufactured from a mixture with different proportions of feedstock. The agglomerated boards were made in the ratio of (sugar beet: wood chips),1- (100 %: 0 %), 2-(50 %: 50 %), 3- (0 %: 100 %), 4- (100 %: 0 %) (increased density),5- (25 %: 75 %) and 6- (75 %: 25 %). Three particle boards of 600x600 mm and 12 mm thickness were made from each ratio mixtures using pMDI adhesive and paraffin emulsion. Samples were made from each moulded plate to test its physical and mechanical properties, in two dimensions: ±50 x 50 mm, 25 pieces and 5 pieces, ±50 x 290 mm. The analysis of raw materials and testing of physical and mechanical properties was carried out at the Josef Ressel Research Centre in Brno-Utěchov. The analysis of input raw materials includes sieve analysis, determination of moisture content of input raw materials. The main physical properties that were measured were density, swelling after immersion in water for 24 h, 48 h and 168 h, density profile of chipboard and moisture content of the samples. The mechanical properties that have been tested were flaking (tensile strength perpendicular to the plane of the plate), modulus of elasticity and modulus of rupture. The results of the physical and mechanical properties are detailed and presented in Chapter 5.
