Life situation of children in the mirror of daily regime: a comparison of the natural family environment and children's home

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje životní situaci dětí v odrazu jejich denního režimu, jde o komparaci dětí z dětských domovů s dětmi z přirozené rodiny. Cílem tedy je vymezit shody a rozdíly v denním režimu těchto dvou skupin dětí a pokusit se nalézt možné příčiny oněch shod či rozdílů. Text je rozdělen na teoretickou a praktickou část, přičemž obě jsou dále děleny na jednotlivé kapitoly. Teorie je uvedena kapitolou o významu rodinného prostředí, dále je zde nastíněna problematika náhradní péče o děti. Nechybí ani konkrétnější přiblížení charakteru a fungování dětských domovů a vše uzavírá kapitola o významu určitého režimu pro děti. Druhá část práce je věnována výzkumu. Respondenty se staly děti ve věku 10-11 let, které žijí v jednom z uvedených prostředí. Sběr dat proběhl prostřednictvím tzv. rozhovorů podle návodu a následně byla provedena analýza za pomoci metody zakotvené teorie. Data tedy byla podrobena otevřenému, axiálnímu i selektivnímu kódování.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the situation of children living situation which reflected their daily routine, in terms of a comparison of children in children´s homes with children from the natural family. Thus, the aim is to identify similarities and differences in the daily regime of the two groups of children and try to find possible causes of the similarities or differences. The text is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theory is a chapter on the importance of family environment, there is also outlined the issue of alternative care for children. There is also a more specific approach nature and functioning of childre´s home and everything concludes with a chapter on the importance of a scheme for children. The second part is devoted to research. Respondents have become children aged 10-11 years who live in one of those environments. The data were collected through interviews so the instructions and then were analyzed with the help of grounded theory. Thus, the data were subjected to an open, axial and selective coding.
