Manifestations of Craftsmanship Activities in Archaeological Contexts in the Centres of Selected Moravian Towns in the Middle Ages

Abstract:

Na základě publikovaných pozitivních dokladů řemeslné činnost v jádrech vybraných moravských měst vytvoří diplomant jejich strukturovaný přehled dle jednotlivých řemesel nebo jejich odvětví a dle jejich specifikace v procesu výroby (výrobky, vedlejší produkt, odpad a jiné). Součástí tohoto přehledu bude i lokalizace řemesel a potencionálních dílen z historicko-topografického hlediska. U identifikovaných řemesel je záměr provést hlubší teoretickou analýzu z pohledu „archeologie nenalezeného“ a na základě písemných pramenů, ikonografických pramenů a archeologických paralel dotvořit podobu inventáře možné řemeslnické dílny, popřípadě konkretizovat pouze souhrn pracovních nástrojů vybraného řemesla či řemeslného odvětví. V závěru se pak diplomant zaměří na konfrontaci pramenů archeologických a archivních prostřednictvím konkrétních dokladů řemesel v archeologických nálezech a v městských knihách 14. a 15. století. Cílem práce je upřesnit možnosti interpretace archeologických nálezů v rámci studia řemeslné výroby ve středověku.

Abstract:

This thesis is based on published evidences of craftsmanship activities in archaeological contexts in centers of selected Moravian towns. Author created a structured overview by the crafts or crafts groups and according to various production processes (product, by-product, scarp etc.). Part of this thesis is the localization of crafts and possible workshops from historic – topography point of view. By the identified crafts are made depth analysis with the help of „Notdiscovered-Archaeology“ method. Based on archival and iconographic sources and archaeological analogies reconstructed inventory of the craft’s workshop or concretized toolkit of possible craft’s group. The end of this thesis is focused on confrontation between archival and archeological sources in the question of specific evidences of crafts from archaeological researches and medieval municipal books 14th and 15th century. The aim of this work is specifit the options of archaeological evidences interpretation by the study of crafts in Middle Ages.
