This bachelor diploma thesis focuses on the novels by the Czech writer Karolina Světlá Vesnický román (1867), Kříž u potoka (1868) and possible intertextual connections with the novels of the British writers Brontë sisters – Wuthering Heights (1847) and Jane Eyre (1847).
