Gambling in Ústí nad Labem and its impacts on inhabitants of the city

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou hazardu ve městě Ústí nad Labem, jeho vlivu a dopadech na obyvatele města. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části se věnujeme všeobecně hazardu jako závislosti, jeho formám, příčinám a následkům gamblingu, možnostem prevence a následné léčby a také komparaci jeho výhod a nevýhod vůči občanům města. V rámci empirické části nás zajímaly názory a postoje občanů města na problematiku hazardu, zkušenosti jich samotných a pro porovnání i pohled aktérů, kterých se daná problematika úzce dotýká v rámci jejich profese.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of gambling in Usti nad Labem, its influence and impacts on city residents. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dedicated to gambling in general as addiction, his forms, causes and consequences of gambling, options of prevention and follow-up treatment and also comparation advantages and disadvantages towards citizens of the city. In the empirical part we were interested in the opinions and attitudes of citizens on the issue of gambling, their experience and for comparison the views of stakeholders, who are with this issue closely touches within their profession.
