Psychological ownership, identification with the organization and their relation to values and style of leadership

Abstract:

V posledních desetiletích se pozornost autorů velmi často upínala k teorii identifikace s organizací a k teorii psychologického vlastnictví, jakožto prostředků, pomocí kterých lze efektivněji dosáhnout pozitivních výstupů organizace. Tato diplomová práce je proto věnována především nalezení vzájemné podobnosti či odlišnosti těchto teorií, neboť některé dosavadní poznatky poukazují na možnost jejich vzájemného propojení. Za tímto účelem jsem provedla výzkumné šetření zahrnující 101 respondentů, u kterých jsem zjišťovala jejich míru identifikace s organizací a psychologického vlastnictví, ale také jejich pracovní hodnoty a vnímání autentičnosti stylu vedení jejich vedoucího pracovníka, přičemž tyto proměnné mi posloužily jako prostředek k porovnání zkoumaných teorií. Na základě výsledků tohoto šetření jsem došla k závěru, že teorie identifikace s organizací a teorie psychologického vlastnictví se ve vztahu k pracovním hodnotám a autentickému stylu vedení neliší. Nejvýznamnější propojení těchto teorií se pak projevuje skrze jejich vztah k pracovním hodnotám spojeným s prestiží.

Abstract:

Organizational identification and psychological ownership theories have been focus of interest of many authors in past decades, mainly due to positive impact of their content on organizational outcomes. Some researchers previously suggested that there is a potential interconnection of these two theories. Therefore, this diploma thesis is primarily devoted to revelation of their similarities or differences. For this purpose, 101 respondents filled in a questionnaire concerning their level of organizational identification and psychological ownership and also regarding their work values and perceived authentic leadership of their supervisor. The latter two variables served as means for comparison of affected theories. The research revealed no differences between the theory of organizational identification and the theory of psychological ownership in relation with work values and authentic leadership. The most significant interconnection of these two theories has been seen through their relationship to prestige work values.
