Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce představuje Andyho Warhola, jeho spolupráci s kapelou The Velvet Underground a jeho angažovanost na hudební scéně. Andy Warhol byl všestranný umělec a vůdčí osobnost uměleckého hnutí pop art. Objevil obrovskou sílu v reklamě, posunul hranici uměleckého vnímání a svou posedlost konzumerismem, obyčejnými a běžnými věcmi projevil ve svém umění. Nejspíš právě tím oslovil lidi po celém světě a stal se jedním z nejvlivnějších umělců druhé poloviny dvacátého století. Cílem této práce je zjistit jak se Andy Warhol angažoval na hudební scéně, co bylo jeho přínosem a přiblížit si jeho spolupráci s The Velvet Underground. Tato práce rovněž podává přehled hudebníků, které podporoval prostřednictvím výtvarné tvorby, ať už šlo o portréty nebo designy hudebních alb.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis represents Andy Warhol and his collaboration with the music group The Velvet Underground and his engagement in the music scene. Andy Warhol was universal artist and leading personality of the pop art. He discovered a great power in advertisement, moved a boundary of the musical perception and demonstrated his obsession with consumerism, common and ordinary things in his artistic creations. It was most likely this that approached people all around the world and he became one of the most influential artists of the second half of the twentieth century. The aim of this thesis is to discover how was Andy Warhol engaging in the musical scene, what was his contribution and outline his collaboration with The Velvet Underground. Besides that, this thesis also shows a summary of musicians, that he supported through his visual arts such as portraits or designs of albums.
