Socio-economical aspects of internal migration in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na analýzu vnitřní migrace v České republice na úrovni jednotlivých krajů neboli NUTS 3 v letech 2000 až 2011. Cílem této práce bylo definování hlavních migračních os a zhodnocení faktorů, které působily na jejich vývoj. Z analýzy migrace vyplynulo, že v České republice v roce 2011 migrují nejvíce lidé ve věku 30 -- 40 let. Migrační osy se v těchto letech výrazně nezměnily, došlo však k nárůstu objemu migrace. Nejsilnější migrační proudy vedou do Středočeského kraje, Hlavního města Praha a Jihomoravského kraje. Z hlediska počtů migrantů lze říct, že většina obyvatel České republiky se stěhuje do Hlavního města Praha a zároveň lidé, kteří už v Praze jsou, se stěhují do Středočeského kraje, z důvodu silných suburbanizačních procesů. Cílovou destinací vnitřní migrace v České republice tak je Středočeský kraj. V práci bylo prokázáno, že vnitřní migrace v České republice kopíruje ekonomickou situaci v zemi.

Abstract:

This work focuses on the analysis of internal migration in the Czech Republic at the level of NUTS 3 between the years 2000 and 2011. The aim of this work is to define the main axis of migration and evaluate the factors that influence their development. The analysis of migration shows that in 2011 the highest number of people who migrated were between the ages of 30 and 40. The migration axis in those years did not change significantly, but there was an increase in the volume of migration. The strongest migration flows lead to the Central Region, the City of Prague and South Moravia. We can say that the majority of the Czech population is moving to the capital while people who are already in the City of Prague, move to the Central Region, due to strong suburbanization processes. The target destinations of internal migration in the Czech Republic is the Central Region. This work will show that internal migration in the Czech Republic follows the economic situation of the country.
