Periradiculary therapy in the treatment of diseases of the spine

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce je zaměřena na periradikulární terapii, která je jednou z terapeutických možností v léčbě onemocnění páteře. Jelikož se tento intervenční výkon na radiodiagnostickém oddělení v krnovské nemocnici provádí pouze u bederní páteře, zaměřuji se hlavně v praktické části na tuto oblast. Tematicky je práce rozčleněna do několika částí. V úvodu je popsána anatomie páteře, páteřního kanálu, míšního kořene a vertebrogenní onemocnění páteře. V další části jsou uvedeny jednotlivé vyšetřovací techniky, kde dominují zobrazovací metody, bez kterých je určení diagnózy téměř nemožné. U každé vyšetřovací modality popisuji základní princip dané techniky. V následující části se zmiňuji o terapeutických možnostech léčby vertebrogenních bolestí páteře a to od nejjednodušších po nejvíce složité, které mimo jiné zatěžují pacienty. Podrobně se věnuji intervenční metodě: periradikulární terapii řízené výpočetní tomografií. Závěrečná praktická část je zaměřena na samotnou studii (forma retrospektivní studie) za osmiměsíční časové období, kde pracuji s daty 37 pacientů, kteří měli provedenou periradikulární terapii ve sledovaném časovém horizontu. Údaje týkající se nejen rizikových faktorů ovlivňující bolesti páteře, jsem zpracovala do tabulek a grafů a snažila se zjistit, jaké postavení zaujímá tento intervenční výkon v léčebném algoritmu vertebrogenního onemocnění páteře.

Abstract:

My Bachelor Thesis is focused at periradiculary therapy, which is one of the therapeutic possibilities in the treatment of diseases of the spine. Because the interventions in radiodiagnostic ward in Krnov is performed only at the lumbar spine, I focused mainly on this practical part of this area. Thematically, the work is divided into several parts. In the beginning I focused on the description of the anatomy of the spine, spinal canal, spinal roots, and I described the vertebrogenic spine diseases. Another section contains a description of the various examinative techniques, which are dominated by imaging methods, without which it would be almost impossible to make diagnose. For each examination modality I mention the basic principle of this technique. In the following section I focused on the therapeutic possibilities of pain treatment of vertebrogenic spine from the simplest to most complex burdensome patient. I try to describe in detail the method of intervention periradiculary therapy controlled by computer tomography. The final practical part focuses on the study itself (a form of retrospective studies) for the eight-month period. The study uses data from 37 patients who had performed the PRT in that time period. Data on age, sex, weight and other risk factors that may affect the pains, I worked up in tables and graphs and tryed fined out to figure what position it occupies in a therapeutic exercise intervention algorithm in vertebrogenic spine diseases.
