Differential diagnosis of knee pain in physiotherapy

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou bolestí kolenního kloubu, které se v populaci vyskytují stále častěji. Diferenciální diagnostika bolestí kolenního kloubu je složitá, jelikož zde může být celá řada patologií s relativně malými rozdíly. V textu jsou uvedeny vyšetřovací postupy a různé funkční testy, které slouží k určení diagnózy. Typ bolesti v kolenním kloubu je důležitým vodítkem pro diagnostiku daného onemocnění. Z tohoto důvodu je praktická část zaměřena na typy bolesti u různých diagnóz, místo bolesti a intenzitu, což je objektivizováno dotazníky. Soubor výsledků šetření zahrnuje pět onemocnění či poranění, u kterých je porovnán typ, intenzita a místo bolesti s odbornou literaturou. Výsledkem je zjištění, zda si údaje od klientů s určenou diagnózou odpovídají s těmi v odborné literatuře.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the pain of the knee-joint, which occurs in the population more and more. Differencial diagnosis of the knee-joint pain is complex because a whole range of pathologies with slight differences may occur. In the text there are examinatory processes and various functional tests which are used to determine the diagnosis. The type of the pain in the knee-joint is an important clue for the illness diagnostics. For this reason the practical part of the thesis is focused on the types of pain within various diagnosis, location of the pain and its intensity, which is processed within the questionnaires. The results of my examinations includes five diagnoses where the type, intensity and the location of the pain is compared with the specialized literature. The result is finding out, whether the data gathered from the clients and their diagnostics correspond with those stated in the specialized literature.
