Communication skills in management practice

Abstract:

Pro svou bakalářskou práci jsem si zvolila téma ?Komunikační dovednosti v manažerské praxi?. Cílem práce je na základě dotazníkového šetření mezi manažery zjistit, zda při své funkci záměrně využívají svých komunikačních dovedností k dosažení lepších úspěchů v zaměstnání. Práci jsem rozdělila do čtyř kapitol. Z počátku jsem vymezila pojem komunikace, její formy a části. V dalších kapitolách jsem se podrobněji zajímala o neverbální komunikaci, jež obsahuje gesta, držení těla, mimiku a také vzhled, který se velkou částí podílí na utvoření prvního dojmu. U verbální komunikace jsem se zabývala manažerem jako vyjednavačem, který by měl aktivně naslouchat, znát techniku kladení otázek a vědět, jak si poradit s řešením konfliktů. V praktické části vyhodnocuji výsledky z dotazníkového šetření, kterým jsem oslovila manažery různého věku, funkce a vzdělání. Jejich odpovědi mi posloužily pro srovnání teoretických poznatků s realitou

Abstract:

As a theme for my bachelor thesis I have chosen ?Communication skills in management practice?. The point is to find out if managers are using their own communication skills to be more successful in their job. This research was based on the questionnaire method. I divided my thesis into four sections. At first, I stoke out a term ?communication?, its forms and parts. In the following chapters I mentioned nonverbal communication in more details. It includes gestures, body-control, face-play and also appearance, which is the important part of formulation of the first impression. Next point is a verbal communication. In this topic I dealt with a manager as a negotiator who has to listen actively to other people, whether it is a customer or a business partner. He has to know how to ask in the right way, and he knows the way how to solve conflicts. In the fourth practical part I am analyzing the results from my questionnaire research. I dealt out the list of questions to managers of a different age, grade and education. I applied their answers to compare the theoretical knowledge with the reality.
