Personal experience of HR professionals with the selection process for the position of logistics manager using the Assessment Centre method

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce pojednává o výběrovém řízení a používání metody Assessment Centre. Část práce se věnuje základním pojmům spojeným s výběrovým řízením a metodám výběrového řízení, pozicí manažera, osobou personalisty a uvádí obecně, co si můžeme představit pod pojmem logistika. Zabývá se blíže popsáním jednotlivých metod výběrového řízení. V praktické části práce se pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru zkoumá, jestli personalisté při výběrovém řízení na pozici manažer logistiky používají metodu Assessment Centre. Jaké jsou hlavní požadavky na pozici manažer logistiky. A kolik kol výběrového řízení pořádají. Podle vyhodnocení dotazníků odpovídá na otázky, zda personalisté před výběrovým řízením dělají analýzu pracovního místa, jestli využívají výstupní pohovor a jaké metody výběrového řízení jsou na pozici manažera logistiky nejčastěji používané. Pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru tato práce zkoumá, jaké jsou vlastní zkušenosti personalistů s touto metodou.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the selection process and employment of the Assessment Center method. Part of the work focuses on the main concepts related to the selection process and its methods, as well as the positions of a manager and an HR specialist. It also provides a definition of the term logistics. The practical part then examines whether recruiters employ the Assessment Centre method when selecting new logistics managers. It also investigates what the main requirements for the position are. And how many rounds the selection process consists of. Using the findings from the semi-structured interview, it answers the questions whether HR specialists carry out an analysis of the position before the selection process starts, if there is an exit interview and what recruitment methods are the most frequently used during the selection process for the position of a logistics manager. Using a semi-structured interview, this thesis examines own experience of HR specialists with this method.
