Diplomová práce je zaměřena na interpretaci třech vybraných próz současného českého spisovatele Emila Hakla, konkrétně pojednává o prózách O rodičích a dětech, Pravidla směšného chování a Skutečná událost. Pozornost bude věnována především kompozici, tématům, narativním postupům, typologii postav a dalším aspektům. The Master's thesis is concerned with the interpretation of three selected proses of the Czech contemporary author Emil Hakl; namely, it deals with the proses O rodičích a dětech (About Parents and Children), Pravidla směšného chování (The Rules of Ridiculous Behaviour) and Skutečná událost (The Real Event).
