Role of the IMF at Resolving European Debt Crisis

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Úloha MMF při řešení dluhové krize Evropy“ je analyzovat úlohu Mezinárodního měnového fondu při řešení součastné krize Evropy a určit, zda kroky učiněné Fondem jsou v souladu s jeho cíly definovanými v Článcích dohody. Práce je rozdělena na 3 částí. V první části se zabývá světovou finanční krizí a teoretickým východisky MMF, v druhé části analýzou finanční a dluhové krize v Maďarsku, Irsku a na Islandu. Poslední část analyzuje ekonomickou situaci těchto zemí po poskytnutí pomoci od MMF a konfrontuje ji s cíli Fondu.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis „Role of the IMF at resolving european debt crisis” is to analyze role of the Intrenational monetary fund at resolving current sovereign European crisis and determine, whether real step of Fund are in agreement with goals defined in Articles of agreements. The thesis has 3 parts. The first part is concentrated on global financial crisis and teoretical background of IMF, the second part is focused on analysis of financial and debt crisis in Hungary, Ireland and Iceland. The last part analyze economic situations of these countries after IMF program and confront them with goals of the Fund.
