Potential use of recycled materials in the building industry in the Pilsen region

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce poskytuje náhled do principů cirkulární ekonomiky a proč je přechod na tento model důležitý. Autor práce pracoval se zahraničními i českými zdroji, ze kterých vypracoval rešerši literatury. K dosažení cílů využil dokumenty na krajské úrovni, použil informace získané na základě telefonických rozhovorů s aktéry v odvětví stavebnictví a pokusil se o vytvoření geodatabáze zásob druhotných surovin. Tato geodatabáze byla vytvořena za pomocí dat ze SLDB 2011 a doplňující informace byly získány terénním šetřením. V práci je vyčísleno, kolik vzniká na území Plzeňského kraje stavebního a demoličního odpadu a kraj je porovnán s jinými kraji České republiky. Je vypracován prostorový přehled společností vyrábějící recyklovaný beton a je shrnuta problematika jeho výroby. Na závěr se tato práce pokusí ověřit možnost vypracování geodatabáze odhadovaných zásob určitých druhotných surovin pro menší modelové území v Plzni.

Abstract:

This thesis provides an insight into the principles of the circular economy and why the transition to this model is important. The author of the thesis worked with foreign and Czech sources, from which he developed literature research. To achieve the goals, author used documents at the regional level, used information obtained on the basis of telephone interviews with actors in the building industry, and attempted to create a geodatabase of secondary materials stocks. This geodatabase was created using data from the Census of population, houses and apartments 2011 and additional information was obtained through field surveys. The thesis calculates how much construction and demolition waste is generated in the Pilsen region and compares the region with other regions of the Czech Republic. A spatial overview of companies producing recycled concrete is drawn up and the issue of its production is summarized. Finally, this thesis tries to verify the possibility of developing a geodatabase of estimated stocks of certain secondary materials for a smaller model area in Pilsen.
