Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to find simillarities and differences in personalities of two great British Was Prime Ministers: William Pitt the Younger and Winston Churchill, and find out reasons of their successes. This thesis describes their origin and education, their character and personalities. It occupies thoroughly with a period of their political careers, especially the period when they were Prime Ministers. Id depicts their successes and failures, particularly in wartime. The final part deals with comparison of these two great figures of British and also world history. The thesis is worked out by comparative method.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářská práce je vysledovat shody a rozdíly v osobnostech dvou britských válečných ministerských předsedů: Williama Pitta ml. a Winstona Churchilla, a zjistit příčiny jejich úspěchů. Tato práce popisuje jejich původ, vzdělání, jejich charakter a vlastnosti. Podrobně se věnuje období jejich politické kariéry a především období, kdy byli ve funkci ministerských předsedů. Vykresluje jejich úspěchy a neúspěchy, zejména v období války. Závěr práce se zabývá srovnáním těchto dvou velkých osobností britské historie. Téma je zpracováno pomocí komparativní metody.
