Abstract:

Cílem této práce je navrhnout datovou strukturu Národního metadatového katalogu. Tato struktura musí umožňovat integraci výstupů ostatních metainformačních systémů veřejné správy a umožnit tak uživatelům vyhledávání požadovaných datových zdrojů na jednom místě. Tento návrh vychází z nejvýznamnějších metadatových standardů, zejména ze standardu ČSN ISO 19115 – Geografická informace – metadata. Značná pozornost je věnována také definování pojmu metadata a příkladům využití metadat v praxi. Součástí práce je také popis současné situace na poli metainformačních systémů veřejné správy a analýza současného stavu nejvýznamnějších představitelů těchto metasystémů (MIS MŽP, MIDAS, SMS). V závěru práce je naznačen budoucí vývoj Národního metadatového katalogu a v souladu s vytyčenými požadavky a cíli je navržena jeho datová struktura.

Abstract:

Purpose of this diploma thesis is to design a data structure of The National Metadata Catalogue. This concept must allow an integration of outputs from other public administration metainformation systems. If this purpose is met, users can search for required data sources at one place. This design is based on the most important metadata standards, especially on standard ČSN ISO 19115 – Geographical information – metadata. A considerable attention is dedicated to definition of the term „metadata“ and to the practical examples of the metadata use. An important part of the thesis is also the analysis of the actual situation of public administration metainformation systems. Most important systems (MIS MŽP, MIDAS and SMS) are described in detail. Conclusion of the thesis is dedicated to the designing of The National Metadata Catalogue data structure according to the forementioned objectives.
