Abstract:
Previously unknown cyanobacterium was found in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Utah, USA. Looking at morphological characteristics, an argument could be made to place this taxon in any of the following genera: Ammatoidea, Homoeothrix, Leptolyngbya, Phormidiochaete, and Tapinothrix.
