Operations with fixed assets in the company

Abstract:

Obsahem mé diplomové práce je problematika operací s dlouhodobým majetkem v podniku. V teoretické části se zaměřím na podrobnější popis operací s dlouhodobým majetkem, jež probíhají v podniku od jeho pořízení až do jeho vyřazení z dlouhodobého majetku. Dále se také podrobněji zaměřím na operace s dlouhodobým majetkem v rámci účetnictví, jimiž jsou například účtování, evidence, oceňování a odepisování. V praktické části se budu zabývat operacemi popsanými v teoretické části v aplikaci na mnou vybraný podnik KANON a.s. V neposlední řadě objasním a analyzuji mechanismus sloužící k uspořádání a identifikaci dlouhodobého majetku v rámci vybrané společnosti. Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat celý proces řízení dlouhodobého majetku ve společnosti. Analyzovat celkovou problematiku a aktuální stav dlouhodobého majetku v mnou vybraném podniku, popř. navrhnout změnu metodiky práce s dlouhodobým majetkem nebo změny v rámci vnitřních směrnic k dlouhodobému majetku. Jako hypotézu si stanovuji, že společnost v době finančních těžkostí odprodala nepotřebný dlouhodobý majetek, aby získala likvidní prostředky a tím udržela svou solventnost. Další hypotézou je, že účetní agenda související s dlouhodobým majetkem je vedena řádně a úplně. V diplomové práci je využita metoda analýzy podnikových dokumentů a komparace dat v jednotlivých letech.

Abstract:

The content of thesis is the issue of operations with long-term assets in the company. In theoretical part I will focus on more detailed description of the operations with assets, which are conducted in the company from the time of its acquisition to the time of decommissioning of fixed assets. In more detail I also focus on operation with long-term assets in accounting, which are for example accounting procedures, records, valuation and depreciation. In the practical part I will deal with the operations described in the theoretical part applied on company KANON a.s. Finally, I will explain and analyze the mechanism which is used to arrangement and identification of long-term assets in company. The aim of the thesis is to explore the whole process of management long-term assets in the company. Analyze the overall issue and the current status of long-term assets in company, possibly propose amendment of the methodology of work with long-term assets, or changes in the internal guidelines for long-term assets. Propose a recovery plan for long-term assets of the company. As a hypothesis I determinate that the company sold unneeded long-term assets to obtain liquid funds and thereby maintain its solvency at a time of financial hardship. Another hypothesis is that the financial statements related to long-term assets are compiled correctly and completely. There is used the method of analysis corporate documents and comparison of dates in individual years.
