Life of the photography in the Internet space

Abstract:

Fotografie od svého vzniku dominantně zastupuje média pro uchovávání obrazové paměti a dokumentování veřejných i soukromých událostí. Médium, které už v roce 1931 popisoval Walter Benjamin jako médium pro reprodukci obrazu a nástroj pro sdělení informací širokým masám, prochází v době digitalizace řadou nejen technických, ale i sociálních změn svých aspektů. Bakalářská práce se zabývá změnou vztahu a práce s fotografií v době nástupu velkého množství online služeb a řešení pro zpracování, uchování a prezentaci fotografických dat. Tyto služby nabízí také mnoho sociálních sítí a komunitních webů. Stejně jako došlo ke změně vlastností fotografie procesem digitalizace a přesunu z fotografického papíru do počítače, tak dle mého názoru dochází k podobnému posunu ve vlastnostech fotografie, se kterou je pracováno online. Jedním z cílů práce je tak charakteristika a analýza procesu přechodu fotografie na Internet a celkové změna práce s ní a proces přesunu fotografie mezi uživateli/diváky od „vypal mi to“ po „dej mi odkaz“. Práce si klade za cíl odpovědět na otázky, jak velký je rozdíl mezi digitální fotografií dneška a digitální fotografií tak, jak vypadala před příchodem online aplikací pro práci s fotografiemi, jako je například Picassa. Jak velký rozdíl je mezi fotografií, se kterou pracujeme online a fotografií, která byla i přes svoji digitálnost stále přenášena „z ruky do ruky“ na pevných přenosových médiích, podobně jako fotografie klasická? Jak se mění naše vnímání fotografie v prostoru Internetu oproti fotografii klasické (analogové) a digitální fotografii přenášené však na pevných médiích?

Abstract:

From the beginning of a photography, it is dominantly represents media for the visual memory and documentation of public and private life. A medium, which in 1931 described Walter Benjamin as a medium for a reproduction of images and tool for sharing information to worldwide masses, in the age of digitalization going through many not only technological but also social changes. This bachelor work is focusing on changing relationship and working with photography. In the age of boom of many online services and solutions for working, storing and prezentation an photography. These services are provided by many social netoworks and comunity websites. As long as an photography changes during process of digitalization and whole moving from the photopaper to computer , in my point of view it is quite same process when you start to work with the photography online. One of the goals of this dissertation is describing and analysing of process moving photography into the Internet and whole changing of process when photography moves from one user to another from "burn me the CD" to "give me the link". This work tries to answer questions, how big is difference between the digital photography before the rise of the Internet and today with many of online services (e.g. like Picasa). How big is difference between working with the photography online and photography which moved between users by hands on hard media? How different is our percepcion of the photography if it is places on the Internet or it is in ordinary analog or digital form on hard drives.
