Práca sa venuje skúmaniu dnešného stavu horského osídlenia v blízkosti obce Zliechov, ktoré prešlo niekoľkými podstatnými zmenami v priebehu dvatsiateho storočia. Na konkrétnom príklade osady Horná Stredná som chcel zaznamenať charakteristické rysy vlastné podstatnej časti horských a podhorských sídiel v širšom geografickom priestore.
