From Geocaching to geographic application

Abstract:

Práce je zaměřena na Geocaching, jako inovativní nástroj využívající geografické znalosti a vedoucí k pochopení mnohých lokálních souvislostí, kterými se zabývá geografie. Popisujeme tvorbu nových zájmových bodů (kešek) a jejich umisťování. Tahle místa (zájmové body) jednak souvisí s tradičními turistickými cíli, ale tvoří se i nová. Místo je jedním ze základních pojmů geografie, má historii, příběh a tudíž je něčím atraktivní, nebo v průběhu vytváření, udržování a vyhledávání kešky tuto atraktivitu získává. V teoretické části bakalářské práce jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy týkající se samotného geocachingu, místa a krajiny. Dále jsou představeny nástroje, které využívají různé mapové portály či tištěné mapy, následně je objasněno i jejich značení, jeho specifika a odlišnosti. V praktické části práce je představen geocaching jako nástroj pro poznávání míst v krajině. Následně je popsána metodologie pro analýzu a digitalizaci geografických dat v praxi pro firmu HERE. Jde o pochopení technologie a metodiky práce s místy na základě dřívějších zkušeností autora s geocachingem. Pro aplikace firmy HERE tvořená databáze je zpětně podkladem pro další umísťováni kešek v rámci geocachingových aktivit.

Abstract:

The work is focused on Geocahing like innovative instrument using geographical knowledge and leading to comprehension of many local connection witch is geographic explaining. We are describing creation of new points of interest (cache) and their location. At first this places (point sof interest) are connected with traditional tourists target but on the otherside are making a new one. The place is one of the basic geographical concept ,it has history, story and that is why it is attractive in some way or during of the creation, maintenance and finding caches is getting this attractivenes. In the theoretical part of the work are explained the basic points related to geocahing, place and landscape. Further here are introduce instruments which are used by many different map portals or analog maps and after is cleared up their marking as well, specifics and differences. In practical part of work is geocaching introduced like an instrument for cognition places in landscape. After that is methodology describe for analysis and digitalization geographical dats in practice for company HERE. It is going about understanding technology and methodics of work with places based on earlier autor ´s experiences with geocaching. For application of company HERE is making database reversing foundation for other placement of caches within geocaching activities.
