The bachelor thesis is devoted to the work of American writer Sherwood Anderson. The thesis is mainly concerned with selected short stories from his collections Winesburg, Ohio and Death in the Woods and Other Stories. Bakalářská práce se věnuje tvorbě amerického spisovatele Sherwooda Andersona. Převážně se bude zabývat vybranými povídkami ze sbírky Winesburg, Ohio a Death in the Woods. V úvodu autorka seznámí čtenáře se životem Sherwooda Andersona. V dalších částech se zaměří na chování jednotlivých postav při hledání jejich životní pravdy a na výsledky tohoto úsilí.
