Auction as an opportunity for investor

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá dražbou, jakožto příležitostí pro investora. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části se zabývá vymezením pojmu dražba nejdříve z ekonomického hlediska a následně z právního hlediska podle legislativy České republiky. Dále se zabývá dělením jednotlivých druhů dražeb, vyjmenováním používaných strategií, podmínkami nutnými pro účast a samotným popisem průběhu veřejné dražby s cílem informovat potenciálního investora o důležitých náležitostech při využití této formy prodeje aktiva. V praktické části je analyzován trh veřejných dražeb s následným výpočtem průměrné výnosnosti. Dále se pokračuje praktickým příkladem dražby, s jeho následným zhodnocením. Práce je zakončena porovnáním výnosu s jinými způsoby nabytí aktiva.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on auction as an opportunity for an investor. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the terminology of auction firstly from economic point of view and secondly from legal point of view according to Czech law. Hereinafter, the thesis focuses on the division of individual forms of auctions, strategies used, conditions to be met in order to participate and on the process of public auctions with a goal to inform a potential investor about important matters when using this form of asset sale. The practical part starts with an analysis of public auction market, leading to the quantification of average yield. Thesis continues with an example of a public auction and it’s further evaluation. The thesis is concluded with the comparison of yield from public auction and other forms of asset purchase.
