History and contemporaneity of musical life in Aš.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá hudební tradicí v Aši. Jsou zde zmíněny nejstarší dochované údaje o hudebním životě na Ašsku, ale hlavní část této práce tvoří historie a současnost ašské hudební školy a tradice sborového zpěvu na Ašsku zastoupená pěveckým sborem Tosta Aš a následně sborem Chorus Egrensis. Také je zde zmíněn vztah skladatele Roberta Schumanna k ašské rodačce a klavíristce Ernestině von Fricken a jeho vztah k Aši, jako k inspiračnímu zdroji některých jeho skladeb. Hudební život v Aši ovlivňovaly také přilehlé německé země, proto nedílnou součástí této práce jsou přeshraniční kontakty s některými německými městy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the musical traditions of Aš. The oldest data on the musical life of Aš and surroundings are mentioned there, but the main part of this work consists of past and present of Aš music school and traditions of choral singing in Aš region, represented by choir Tosta Aš and then Chorus Egrensis. There is also mentioned the relationship between the composer Robert Schumann and the pianist and the native of Aš Ernestina von Fricken, and his relationship to Aš as the source of inspiration for some of his works. Musical life in Aš was influenced by the adjacent German lands, that´s why the cross-border contacts with some German cities are integral part of this work.
