Přerov - the incomplete D1 motorway and its influences over the city and its surrounding

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivy tranzitní silniční dopravy v Přerově. Ta je v Přerově značná a veškerá musí projet městem, neboť Přerov nemá silniční obchvat. Tím mají být poslední dva úseky dálnice D1. Cílem práce je poukázat na obtíže způsobované v Přerově silnou tranzitní silniční dopravou. Bakalářská práce popisuje vývoj dálnice D1 až do dnešního dne. Dále popisuje negativní účinky silniční dopravy v Přerově a následně jsou v bakalářské práci popsané výsledky z kvantitativního výzkumu pomocí průjezdů a dotazníku, jenž měl primárně zjistit, jak vnímají obyvatelé Přerova silniční dopravu v Přerově. Průjezdy automobilem byly prováděny v dopravních špičkách a mimo ně. Sledovány byly primárně změny tras navigací a délka průjezdů mezi těmito body. Výsledkem práce je, že tranzitní doprava v Přerově způsobuje značné negativní účinky, obyvatelé Přerova silniční dopravu hodnotí velmi negativně, ovšem průjezdy automobilem městem nezaznamenaly velké rozdíly v dopravních špičkách a mimo ně, neboť byly prováděny v období nestandardní dopravní situace v Přerově.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis is interested in effects of transit transport in Přerov. Transit transport is significant because Přerov has no bypass. Currently, bypass is being built as a part of two sections of D1 motorway. Aim of this thesis is to highlight severe difficulties caused to Přerov by transit transport. Firstly, the development of D1 motorway to this day is described. Then the focus is shifted to negative aspects of traffic in Přerov and the results of quantitative research data collected from Přerov citizens using questionnaire are presented. The purpose of questionnaire was mainly to evaluate the notion of traffic in Přerov as perceived by its inhabitants. Next, I was interested in duration of transits with automobile vehicle, which held place during severe traffic and when minimal traffic was present. Changes in navigation routes and duration of transits between these points were primarily observed. Results show that transit transport is causing severe negative outcomes and Přerov inhabitants perceive it negatively. No significant differences between transits during severe traffic and with minimal traffic were observed. Although, that might be attributed to unusual traffic situation in Přerov.
