The preparedness of girls for the first gynecological examination

Abstract:

Cíl práce: Zjistit, jak dalece byly dívky ze středních škol připraveny na první gynekologické vyšetření a zda je tato zkušenost neovlivnila v přístupu k dalším návštěvám gynekologické ambulance.Výzkumný soubor: Průzkumu se účastnilo 95 dívek ve věku od 16-20let. Tedy dívek studujících střední školu.Metodika: Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V praktické části jsou uvedeny výsledky průzkumu. Pro sběr dat byla použita kvantitativní metoda pomocí nestandardizovaného dotazníku. Sběr dat proběhl v září-říjnu 2016 mezi náhodně vybranými dívkami studující střední školu v Kralupech nad Vltavou nebo Neratovicích. Vyhodnocené výsledky pak byly zpracované do tabulek a grafů. V každé tabulce pak byla data uvedena v relativní a absolutní četnosti.Výsledky: Po zhodnocení dotazníkového šetření se ukázalo, že nejčastěji byly dívky edukovány matkou a tato edukace byla dívkami vyhodnocena jako dostatečná. To se potvrdilo i v kontrolních teoretických otázkách. První zkušenost byla pro dívky sice nepříjemná, ale uvědomují si důležitost vyšetření pro budoucí návštěvy. Z vyhodnocených dat se také ukázalo, že mezi nejčastější pocity, které dívky trápily před nebo při vyšetření, byly strach a nejistota, stud, a jiné. Závěr: Z výsledků vyplynulo, že vyšetření není zcela příjemné a i přesto se dá snížit strach a nejistota z vyšetření dostatečnou a včasnou edukací. Tím přispět k připravenosti dívek na jejich první gynekologickou prohlídku a ovlivnit tak pozitivně zkušenost z prvního vyšetření, které se pak odráží v přístupu k dalším návštěvám. Celkově se průzkum podařilo úspěšně zpracovat a dílčí cíle ověřit.

Abstract:

Aim of the thesis: To find out how high school girls were prepared for the first gynecological examination and whether this experience did not affect the approach to further visits to the gynecological clinic.Field research: The survey was attended by 95 girls aged 16-20. That is girls who study high school.Method: The bachelor´s work is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The practical part presents the results of the survey. For gathering the information, the method of quantitative research was used in the form of an unstructured questionnaire. Gathering of the informatik was done during from Semptember to October 2016 betwen random selected girl studying high school in Kralupy nad Vltavou and Neratovice. The evaluated results were then processed into tables and graphs. In each table the data was reported in relative and absolute frequency. Results: After evaluating the questionnaire survey, it was revealed that the girls were most often educated by the mother and this education was evaluated by the girls as sufficient. Has also been confirmed in control theoretical issues. The first experience was unpleasant to girls, but they are aware of the importance of screening for future visits. From the data analyzed, it also turned out that the most common feelings the girls had been having before or during the examination were fear and insecurity, studs, and others.Conclusion: The results showed that the examination is not entirely pleasant and yet the fear and uncertainty of the examination can be reduced by sufficient and timely education. This contributes to the girls' readiness for their first gynecological examination, thus positively influencing the experience of the first examination, which is then reflected in the approach to further visits. Overall, the survey was successfully processed and partial targets verified.
