Adaptation of women with children to loss of vision

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce “Adaptace žen s dětmi na ztrátu zraku“ analyzuje vyrovnávání se s handicapem ztráty zraku u žen, které o zrak přišly v průběhu mateřství a žen, které se i přes svůj handicap rozhodly děti mít a vychovat je. Práce se zaměřuje na tyto ženy, které se nemusely jen naučit postarat samy o sebe, ale i o své děti a i přes svůj handicap se staly dobrými matkami a poskytly svým dětem odpovídající péči a výchovu. V první části své práce se nejprve zaměřím na klasifikaci očních vad, na teoretické poznatky adaptace na ztrátu zraku, na zvládání krizových situací a na osobnostní rozvoj zrakově postižených. Druhá část práce analyzuje rozhovory s nevidomými ženami, jejich emoční prožívání těchto obtížných životních situací, s jakými problémy se po ztrátě zraku potýkaly, co pro ně bylo těžké, jak zvládaly výchovu dětí, jejich zkušenosti, pocity a prožitky. Rozhovory byly realizovány způsobem polootevřených otázek a narativním vyprávěním respondentek.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Adaptation of women with children to loss of vision," analyzes coping with the handicap of vision loss among women who lost their sight during a maternity and women who despite their handicap decided to have a children and raise them. The work focuses on those women who do not have to just learn to take care of themselves, but also their children, despite their handicap to become good mothers to their children and provide appropriate care and education. In the first part this work will focus initially on the classification of eye defects, the theoretical knowledge of adaptation to vision loss, the crisis management, the personal development of visually impaired. The second part analyzes interviews with blind women, their emotional experience of difficult life situations, problems that faced the loss of sight, for them it was difficult to manage raising children, their experiences, feelings and experiences. Interviews were implemented in a manner slightly open issues and narrative stories of respondents.
