Cílem této bakalářské práce je prozkoumat motiv dvojníka v kontextu románu současného rakouského autora Thomase Glavinice «Die Arbeit der Nacht». První část pojednavá o historickém vývoji jevu jako takového, opřenému o vybraná literární díla a vědecko-psychologické eseje.
