Analysis of IPSec using native IPv6 support

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je analýza IPsec zabezpečené komunikace s využitím nativní podpory IPv6. Teoretická část se zabývá popisem již stávajících postupů bezpečné komunikace a jejich nasazení, popisem jednotlivých částí protokolu IPsec a jejich využití. Cílem práce a praktické části je implementace jednotlivých host-to-host a site-to-site IPsec provedení s využitím protokolů pro Key Exchange jako IKEv2 a jeho implementaci. Nakonec se zabývá vyhodnocením těchto řešení z hlediska technického nasazení, podpory pro jednotlivé platfformy, zátěže pro systém a efektivity, to vše s pomocí full packet captures.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis of IPsec-secured communication using native support of IPv6. The theoretical part deals with the description of existing secure communication procedures and their deployment, the description of individual parts of the IPsec protocol, and their utilization. The aim of the thesis and the practical part is the implementation of individual host-to-host and site-to-site IPsec configurations using Key Exchange protocols such as IKEv2 and its implementation. Finally, it evaluates these solutions in terms of technical deployment, support for individual platforms, system load, and efficiency, all with the help of full packet captures.
