Abstract:

Firmy v dnešním rozmanitém pracovním prostředí musí hledat nové cesty jak efektivně využít potenciál svých zaměstnanců a udržet si konkurenční výhodu. Diverzita a inkluze (D&I) je v současném korporátním prostředí velmi skloňovaným termínem a řízení diverzity je téměř nedílnou součástí strategií mezinárodních organizací, je spojeno s firemní kulturou a společenskou odpovědností. Cílem této práce je zhodnocení diverzity a inkluze na českém pracovním trhu a zasazení České republiky v oblasti etnicity, věku a pohlaví na pracovišti do evropského kontextu. První kapitola zpracovává dosavadní teoretické poznání v dané oblasti a je tak nezbytným předstupněm části praktické. Druhá kapitola analyzuje postavení České republiky v oblastech etnicity, věku a pohlaví ve vztahu k ostatním evropským zemím. Poslední kapitola je poté zaměřena na kvantitatní a kvalitativní výzkum, jenž přináší pohled na vnímání diverzity v pracovním prostředí ze strany zaměstnanců v České republice a přístup firem operujících na českém trhu k diverzitě a inkluzi na pracovišti.

Abstract:

In today's diverse work environment, companies are seeking new ways to effectively leverage the potential of their employees and maintain a competitive advantage. Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is a buzzword in today's corporate environment, and diversity management is almost an essential part of international organizations' strategies, linked to corporate culture and social responsibility. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate diversity and inclusion in the Czech labor market and to put the Czech Republic in the field of ethnicity, age and gender in the workplace in the European context. The first chapter elaborates the existing theoretical knowledge in this area and is thus a necessary precursor to the practical part. The second chapter analyses the position of the Czech Republic in the areas of ethnicity, age and gender in relation to other European countries. The last chapter then focuses on quantitative and qualitative research that provides insight into the perception of diversity in the work environment by employees in the Czech Republic and the approach of companies operating on the Czech market to workplace diversity and inclusion.
