Diplomová práce popisuje proces územního plánování a postavení obce v tomto procesu. Tento proces provází lidstvo napříč dějinami. Forma tohoto procesu se postupně vyvíjela a stále se vyvíjí, a to postupně s ohledem na formování lidské civilizace. Dnes má tento proces jasný právní základ, a tím striktně daná pravidla.
