Home care for elderly from perspective of agents

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se bude zabývat domácí péčí o seniora perspektivou aktérů. Práce bude založena na kvalitativním výzkumu formou případové studie, zúčastněného pozorování a rozhovorů. Autor se zaměří na stáří a vymezení domácí péče, rodinu jako nástroj domácí péče a na neformální péči a její dopady. Dále se zaměří na koncept aging in place, běh každodennosti, problematiku sdílené bolesti, důstojnost a autonomii. Práce se zaměřuje na to, jaké byly motivy, vnímání a dopady neformální péče na jednotlivé aktéry. Práce bude vycházet z teorie totálních institucí E. Goffmana.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis will deal with home care for elderly from perspective of agents. The work will be based on qualitative research in the form of a case study, participatory observation and inverviews. The author will focus on aging and the definition of home care, the family as a tool of home care and informal care and its affects. It will also focus on the concept of aging in place, the course of everyday life, the issue of shared pain, dignity and autonomy. The work focuses on the motives, perceptions and impacts of informal care on individual agents. The work will be based on the theory of total institutions by E. Goffman.
