Ageing of population in villages and cities

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice demografického stárnutí venkovské a městské populace. Jelikož dochází k neustálému pohybu obyvatel a vzájemné interakci mezi městem a venkovem je stejně jako na celostátní úrovni důležité se zaměřit rovněž na menší územní celky a jejich vývoj z hlediska demografického stárnutí. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, zda dochází k významnějšímu stárnutí populace u venkovských či městských obcí, k čemuž bylo využito základních ukazatelů používaných k měření stárnutí populace. V teoretické části této práce jsou vymezeny právě tyto ukazatele, pojem venkov a město, charakteristiky sociálních služeb, které jsou využívány v praktické části a upozorněno je rovněž na důležitost vzdělávání seniorů. Analytická část se zaměřuje konkrétně na okres Kladno, kde byla provedena analýza stárnutí v období 1991–2016 nejprve podle velikostních skupin obcí a poté u 6 vybraných obcí nacházejících se na území toho okresu z nich 3 obce mají městský a 3 venkovský charakter. Jedním z důsledků stárnutí populace je, a především v budoucnu bude, zvyšující se zátěž pro zařízení sociálních služeb. Z tohoto důvodu byla v okrese Kladno zhodnocena dostupnost sociálních služeb mezi správními obvody s rozšířenou působností Kladno a Slaný a následně přístup k těmto službám na venkově a ve městech.

Abstract:

The bachelor´s thesis deals with demographic aging of rural and urban population. As there is a constant movement of the population and the interaction between the city and the country, it is important to focus on smaller territorial units and their development, as well as at the national level in terms of demographic aging. The main objective of the thesis is to find out if there is a significant population aging in rural or urban municipalities. It was analysed by using the basic population aging indicators. In the theoretical part of this thesis are defined these indicators, the concept of the country and the town, the characteristics of social services that are used in the practical part and the importance of the education of seniors. The analytical part focuses especially on the Kladno district, where the analysis of aging was carried out in the period 1991-2016 firstly by size groups of municipalities and then in 6 selected municipalities located in the territory of that district. Three municipalities have urban and have three rural character. One of the consequences of population aging is and evidently will an increasing burden on social service facilities. For this reason, the availability of social services between administrative districts of municipalities with extended competence in Kladno and Slaný was evaluated in the Kladno district and consequently access to these services in the countryside and in the towns.
