Josef Blatný and his instructive piano literature

Abstract:

Téma této bakalářské práce je osobnost českého skladatele Josefa Blatného a jeho instruktivní literatura pro klavír. Jsou podány základní informace o skladatelově životě a tvorbě. Hlavní náplní práce je popis a analýza Blatného instruktivních skladeb pro klavír. Pozornost je věnována především třem sešitům Instruktivních skladbiček, které patří mezi skladatelovy nejznámější díla pro děti. Je provedena kompoziční analýza a nastíněn pedagogický postup při nácviku skladeb. Přiblíženy jsou rovněž Blatného instruktivní cykly Sonatinky op. 41, První etudy op. 23 a Hudba jara op. 55.

Abstract:

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the personality of Josef Blatný and his instructive literature for piano. Basic information about life and work of the composer is given. The main scope of the thesis is a description and an analysis of Blatný's instructive compositions for piano. Attention is paid mainly to three books of Instructive piano Compositions, which are among the best known. A composition analysis is performed and a pedagogical procedure for the study of compositions is proposed. There is also focus on Blatný’s instructive cycles Sonatinky op. 41, First etudes op. 23 and Music of Spring op. 55.
