Strategic analysis of SK Slavia Praha – fotbal a.s.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zpracování strategické analýzy společnosti SK Slavia Praha – fotbal a.s. díky které budou identifikovány silné a slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby na základě kterých budou formulovaná strategická doporučení. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou definovány koncepty strategické analýzy a jednotlivých metod, které jsou později použity v druhé části, praktické. Mezi tyto metody se řadí metody z analýzy externího prostředí, tedy PESTEL analýza, analýza odvětví, analýza konkurence, nebo Porterův model 5 sil, a také metody z analýzy interního prostředí neboli VRIO analýza a finanční analýza. V závěru práce je zpracována syntéza jednotlivých částí v podobě SWOT analýzy, na základě jejichž výsledků jsou vytvořena strategická doporučení. Tato doporučení jsou věnována především možnostem využití významných příležitostí v podobě českého týmového koeficientu a rostoucí popularity fotbalu v České republice za pomocí silných stránek SK Slava Praha – fotbal a.s., jako je její nový majitel Pavel Tykač, či nově získané pozemky určené k výstavbě mládežnické akademie, nebo silná tradice a fanouškovská základna.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to conduct a strategic analysis of SK Slavia Praha – fotbal a.s., through which strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats will be identified, forming the basis for strategic recommendations. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines concepts of strategic analysis and the individual methods that are later used in the second part, the practical. These methods include those from external environment analysis, such as PESTEL analysis, industry analysis, competitive analysis, and Porter’s Five Forces model, as well as methods from internal environment analysis, namely VRIO analysis and financial analysis. The conclusion of the thesis synthesizes the various sections in the form of a SWOT analysis, based on which strategic recommendations are created. These recommendations are primarily devoted to leveraging significant opportunities presented by the Czech team coefficient and the growing popularity of football in the Czech Republic, utilizing the strengths of SK Slavia Praha – fotbal a.s., such as its new owner Pavel Tykač, newly acquired land designated for the construction of a youth academy, and a strong tradition and fan base.
