Out of hospital sudden death

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je popsána smrt, její druhy a posmrtné změny. Jsou zde také zahrnuty činnosti lékaře, který provádí prohlídku zemřelého těla mimo zdravotnická zařízení a v terénu. Dále se teoretická část zabývá popisem nejčastějších onemocnění vedoucích k přirozené smrti a také druhů smrti násilné. Cílem této práce je zpracovat demografické údaje pacientů zemřelých v terénu, u kterých byla nařízena pitva, a diagnózy, jež byly na místě stanoveny lékařem provádějícím prohlídku těla. Sběr dat probíhal v období od počátku dubna roku 2020 do konce měsíce června 2020. Data získaná v terénu budou porovnána s daty Ústavu soudního lékařství Fakultní nemocnice Ostrava a na základě tohoto bude zhodnoceno, zda došlo ke shodě diagnóz lékaře, který provedl prohlídku těla zemřelého a lékaře pitvajícího. Dále bude zhodnocena účelnost indikací případů ke zdravotní pitvě. Získané výsledky jsou prezentovány pomocí grafů a tabulek.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part examines death, ways of dying, and postmortem changes. It also addresses the working practices of doctors examining corpses outside medical facilities and in the field. The theoretical part is further devoted to the description of the most common diseases which lead to natural death and to the description of the forms of violent death. The aim of the practical part is to process the demographic data of the patients who died outside health facilities for whom autopsies were ordered, and to process the diagnoses which were made on the spot by the doctors in charge. The data collection lasted from the beginning of April 2020 to the end of June 2020. The data obtained in the field are compared with the data from the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Ostrava. Based on this comparison, the thesis determines whether the diagnoses of the doctors examining the corpses and the doctors performing the autopsies are identical or not. It further assesses the functionality of the indications of the corpses for autopsy. The data obtained are presented by means of charts and tables.
