Od analyzátorů pracujících v POCT režimu se očekává rychle dostupná informace použitelná pro určení diagnózy, posouzení stavu nebo zahájení či monitorování léčby. The point-of-care devices are important help in making clinical decisions in the field of critical care. The random use of different types of laboratory POCT analyzers for measuring electrolytes, blood gases and metabolites increases the variability in test results and might cause problem.
