In the presented diploma thesis, we are dealing mainly whit banking sector, with implementation of the Euro and the world economic crisis. We analyze banking sector - its history and present. We are interested in main changes of banking sector, the benefits and losses that are due to the Euro implementation. V predkladanej diplomovej práci sa zaoberáme hlavne bankovým sektorom, zavedením eura a svetovou hospodárskou krízou. V práci analyzujeme bankový sektor – jeho históriu aj súčasnosť. Zaujímajú nás hlavne zmeny v bankovom sektore, prínosy aj straty, ktoré sú následkom zavedenia eura.
