Jako každý organismus i rostliny jsou během svého života vystavovány vlivům, které je mohou ohrozit a dokonce vést až k jejich odumření. Vyvinuly si proto obranné mechanismy, kterými brání průniku a rozšíření patogenního organismu v rostlině. Důležitou roli ve vztahu patogenu a rostliny zastávají elicitory. Abstract:
During their life, plants – just as any other organisms – are subject to influences that may endanger them and even lead to their necrosis. Therefore, they developed defense mechanisms with which they bar the pathogen organism from entering and spreading within the plant.
